How Trust Works

Bachos uses a vouching-based trust system rather than a popularity contest. Trust is earned through vouches from existing trusted members and through helpful contributions.

The Trust Ladder

New — anyone signing up. You can read everything and comment after your first vouch or after answering one question.
Basic — earned through 1 vouch from a trusted member, or 5 helpful contributions, or moderator promotion. You can comment freely and react.
Trusted — earned through 3 vouches or 20 contributions. You can vote, flag, and vouch for others.
Regular — earned through 10 vouches or 50 contributions. You can edit tags on others' content and suggest article edits.
Leader — appointed by moderators or admin. Full moderator privileges.

Verified Contributors

Some contributors are verified clergy, scholars, or theologians. These verifications happen out-of-band — we contact your diocese or institution. Verified contributors get a special badge next to their name.

Vouches are public. When you vouch for someone, you're publicly endorsing them. When you reach Trusted level, you can vouch for others — building a transparent web of trust.
